HAND WEAVING CLASSES FOR BEGINNERS

FRIDAYS OR SATURDAYS AND ARE GREAT FOR CHILDREN/PARENT COMBO.

These classes are for first timers just for fun and to see if you would like weaving before considering buying a loom or supplies in the future.  All materials, tools, and instruction are included in these classes which run for 2 hours, from 1pm to 3pm.  Take home a nice project.

Cost:  $25   on Fridays or Saturdays  

Please call ahead so we may reserve a loom for you.

***Other weaving classes are offered in more depth and also for experienced weavers to learn  specific weave structures, for weavers who want a refresher class, or to help you with a loom you may already own. These sessions are designed to fit your current weaving knowledge.  Please email us  artscenter@ccrtc.com to let us set up a specific class to fit your weaving needs. Hourly rate: $15/hr.

TRADITIONAL WOOL HOOKING CLASSES  will continue 'as needed' basis so please email me if interested.  The same goes for crochet, knitting, braiding, glass painting, classes.

RAG RUG WEAVING CLASS

Weave your own rag rug or rag rug pillows for your porch or kitchen to bring a cheerful new look to your home.  We provide materials, tools, equipment, and instruction.    Cost:  $1.25/linear inch.  Email us for a date good for you and us.

*** For over 24 years, Kathleen Stevens, founder & director of  Indiana Traditional Arts Center, has offered free weaving sessions for mentally, emotionally, or physically challenged children and adults.  Kindly contact us to set up a time and discuss what is needed so we may have a fun, confidence building, weaving session.
